Love the vibes here! Country music is great they do a great mix of classic and modern....But HATE the bartender donny. Hes the older gentleman at the c bar in the back right corner. So rude and so unfriendly. Do not recommend getting drinks for him at all. Save your money and go to a different bartender.

**** for Thirsty Horse * for DJ BRODY (he really deserves zero stars.) We frequent Thirsty Horse every weekend as it is our favorite dance hall. Drinks are good, bartenders are awesome (Loretta and Matt are our favorites). Dance floor is fairly large compared to a couple other dance halls. We love it here. A couple things we don't like is the way tables are reserved. It seems like whoever is responsible for the table reservations they play favorites to their friends. Some of the people who reserve tables every weekend don't have to request and are just given their favorite table or rail. Other people who she doesn't know, well good luck! She claims that you can't request a table until noon on Sunday before the next weekend but then she allows other people to reserve tables 10 days early (not for a special occasion or anything). So which is it? Be fair across the board. Now, let's get to DJ Brody!!! One word - HORRIBLE! We come to a country dance hall for country music so stop playing the stupid hip hop mixes during all the band breaks. A large majority of your regular clientele do not like this and generally leave when he does this. Thirsty you are losing money from your regular crowd because of Brody! I know a group who don't come to Thirsty because of Brody! If you are fine with this then so be it, but, if you want to save your regulars then school Brody on what he plays or better yep get rid of him. The DJ out back is way better than Brody! In fact here is a suggestion move Brody outside and bring the other DJ inside. This past weekend I saw him doing a shot up in the DJ booth with some girl, REALLY! Thirsty you can do way better than DJ Brody!

This is our go to dancehall. They are not racist many of the bands and dj's here play Spanish and Tejano music on the regular. Obviously, it's a country bar and that is the main thing played. The staff is friendly and welcoming. But they do have a dress code and one definitely needs a valid ID to enter this dancehall is 21+. My only complaint is Brody the DJ on Wed. & Sat. Ugh he plays trash music and very little actual country music! If I wanted to dance to hip hop or rap I'd go elsewhere!

I've gone several times now and there is always a great atmosphere and crowd whether it's the country dance lessons earlier in the evening, later at night, karaoke outside, or for live music/concerts. The live music is always good. There is a lot of space inside and outside for dancing, standing room, and sitting, so it's a great place to go with friends and larger groups. The bartenders are friendly and quick, and all the drinks have been good and fairly priced. The parking lot does look sketchy but I've never had an issue finding a parking spot or walking to/from the car. This is the best spot in the city for country dancing because there are people of all ages and skill levels who will ask you to dance. Also the group classes are great whether you have a partner or not, and there's no judgement from instructors or other people.

Great songs and dancing is silo so great We love it here It's so nice We come here every Saturday to dance and drink with our friends

Nice dance hall. It's bigger than it looks. They have inside and outside sections. Both areas are big. There's plenty of standing room and seating. The dance floor is pretty big as well. It is my understanding that the outside section typically has music that is not country. I went on a Wednesday night when they were having an event. They had an instructor teach you how to do some country moves. It was very fun. After the event they had a live band. The live band was excellent. The bartenders were excellent. The drinks were not pricey. Parking is available on site, but shared with the other businesses.

It had been years since I had been two-stepping/ dancing, so I was excited to find a place near my house that I could go to on a whim this past Friday night with a friend. When we arrived, it was difficult to find parking but after circling a few times, we were able to find a spot. We arrived at 9:59PM and were told it was $5 cover per person but while getting cash out, it struck 10:00 so we were told the price was now $7. It was a bit weird for the price to change suddenly, but we paid and went on in. We went to the bar right up at the front and ordered a bud light and a Deep Eddy Lime Vodka w/ Club Soda & Lime (my drink). The bartender, Mike, was great and the prices were reasonable which I appreciated. Mike hustled to get everyone their drinks quickly and it tasted great so I went back to him for each drink during the outing. The crowd was a lot older than I expected it to be, but as the night went on, this changed dramatically. At first, it seemed to be a 60+ crowd but was closer to 30+ by 12:30AM. I loved that this wasn't a bar full of college aged individuals. Everyone was courteous and fun throughout the night. I also have to mention that the live music was fantastic! One thing I didn't love is the amount of space that was reserved for private parties. Many of the spaces stayed empty all night and it seemed like a shame as my friends and I would've loved to hang out in those areas. There were servers going around with test tubes shots as well and they had such fun flavors. I tried the sweettarts and it really tasted like the candy... dangerous but fun! Overall, this was a really fun place that I will visit again!

We hadn't been out country dancing in awhile. We met up with friends here and we're impressed with the size and space of the place, the choices in live music Indoors and outdoors and the pricing for drinks! Our first reaction was that this would be a great place to meet up with friends on a slower night like a Thursday. Will definitely be back.
